He remains actively involved in all areas of the business. From labouring to sales, Pat has a great overview of the business as a whole.
Pat is helped immeasurably by the team to provide spotless work for customers while also ensuring a safe workplace.
A dedicated husband and father, outside of work if Pat isn't watching his 4 children playing sport, you'll find him watching rugby league, particularly Manildra Rhinos.
Jamie Carpenter General Manager
1st Choice Asbestos Removal's friable expert
Starting as a supervisor in 2016, Jamie was instrumental in 1st Choice obtaining their Friable License in 2017.
Managing all friable work, Jamie oversees the quoting, planning, set up and delivery of each friable job.
Promoted to Operations Manager and then General Manager, Jamie became a business partner in 2021.
Like Pat, Jamie is a proud family man, enjoying time with his wife, kids, rugby league and big bash cricket.
Rebecca Gibson Accounts / HR Manager
Started 1st Choice with Pat in 2010, key to its growth and development
After 13 years, Rebecca left a management role in telecommunications to establish 1st Choice with Pat.
With experience administering all aspects of 1st Choice, Rebecca has developed the systems that ensure 1st Choice's customer communication is always first rate.
When establishing 1st Choice with Pat, Rebecca also had the first of their three children - making this a truly family business!
Jose Nilson da Silva Painter

Jose enhances the appearance of homes and commercial properties while extending the materials lifespan and ensures project sites are contamination-free by using painting and encapsulation techniques in asbestos environments.
Jose's passion for painting and attention to detail enable him to perform this essential work with great care. Moving to Australia provided Jose with the opportunity to apply his painting experience in the asbestos industry.
In his free time, Jose enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.

Claudia is 1st Choice Asbestos Removal’s Work, Health & Safety Compliance Officer
In 2019, Claudia assisted with the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001).
With a Masters in Business Administration, Claudia is currently studying for a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
